A priceless piece of whisky history for the aficionado, the winner of this package will receive an exclusive 50cl replica of The Intrepid - officially the world's biggest bottle of whisky.

Following one incredible idea, two years hard work and 32 years of maturation, The Intrepid officially became the world's largest bottle of whisky on September 9th, 2021. Standing over 5 feet 9 inches tall, the record-breaking bottle contains 311 litres of the finest whisky originally distilled at the prestigious Macallan Distillery in Scotland in 1989. A new Guinness World Record that vastly surpassed the previous record, established by The Famous Grouse Experience in 2012, by a landslide 83 litres.

The team behind The Intrepid, founded by Daniel Monk, a partnership between Fah Mai and Rosewin Holdings Plc, were driven by a passion for exploration and sought to name the project in recognition of the drive and determination of some of the world's most pioneering individuals including Sir Ranulph Fiennes, Karen Darke MBE, Sarah Outen, Dwayne Fields, Olly Hicks and past Scottish Adventurers of the Year Jamie Ramsay and Will Copestake.

To commemorate this momentous event a very limited number of smaller replicas of the bottle were produced, all holding the same wonderful 32 year old Macallan from the casks used to fill the record breaking bottle. The directors of Fah Mai and Rosewin Holdings Plc have kindly donated one of these very exclusive 50cl replicas to the National Trust for Scotland Foundation USA.

Lyon & Turnbull, Scotland's oldest auctioneers and long-term supporters of the National Trust for Scotland, are proud to be offering the original, world record-holding, bottle The Intrepid at auction this summer season.
